missed me? nah not really!
somehow i doubt the answer is yes, but just in case you've been wondering where i've been, i'll tell ya! our home computer's disk drive went out so we took it in to best buy to have it fixed, come to find out it has more than that for problems, so off to HP for at least 2 weeks. i almost hit the floor... no computer for how long??? it wouldn't have been a big deal, but jordan's laptop had issues too. her hard drive went out, so no luck there. well, we have a friend that fixed jordan's for us and put in a new hard drive and so now be are back to surfing the net. thank goodness... i was starting to go through withdrawals. it's amazing how you can become a slave to something. so i must start off by saying- hi, my name is shara and i have a computer addiction :)! on another high note, i must also tell you that i finally got a new camera. i liked my old sony, but it was very frustrating and didn't always take the best pictures. sears as kind enough to take it back {even though it had been longer than 90 days} and give me a full refund. so off to best buy to buy the camera of my dreams. a nikon d90. all i can say is OMG!!! i LOVE it with all my heart. it takes the most amazing pictures and is so easy to use and understand. i can't wait to post some new pictures taken with it. well, i guess that's what we've been up to around our house and in our life's. i know you are so glad i've finally posted, i'm sure you thought i was gone forever. i know you know that i am so joking!!!!

todays the day....
so today is the day mark and i go to the tri-cities to learn how to give me my weekly injections of my arthritis medication. i'm not too excited about getting a shot once a week or putting some strange drug into my system, but i am really excited to see if it helps bring down the enormous amount of swelling in my hands. so, i'll keep ya posted on my results.

newish water fountains
my neighbor went to an antique store last weekend and stole this idea for barrel water features. i have had the two for a couple of years now with just the regular nozzle and was excited to update and redo them with the rocks. those of you know that i am a perfectionist and this "little" project drove me crazy. i only redid them i think.... 4 times or so. i like the way they look now, so i've left them alone for the past couple of days. pretty cool, huh?
veggies!!!!!
i am proud to present.... veggies grown in OUR garden. can you believe it? i am super excited about all the growth. i think we must have picked the perfect spot for our gardening beds as everything seems to be flourishing!

photography workshop
waves using a filter
lighthouse
lighthouse with it's reflection in the wet sand
on saturday morning krisite, krista and i got up at 3am {no you didn't read that wrong} to head to a photography workshop. we were hoping to catch a beautiful sunrise {obviously this didn't happen} but were able to do some cool stuff anyway. lets just say the weather was less than desirable.... it was rainy, cold and the wind was blowing pretty fierce. the guy that lead our class was alot of fun {in the end}. he started out kind of serious, but if you spend any amount of time with me {in a good way} you end up goofy! he has a gallery in depoe bay and his work is AMAZING! his website is www.naturerevealed.com {check it out}. he taught us a lot of techniques and i actually used my camera in manual mode {something i have never done before}! i took some cool shots, but silly me who is not normally out shooting pictures in blowing rain forgot to wipe off my lens before some of my shots {so you just have to appreciate them with the rain drops}. bottom line was that we learned alot about taking pictures and all the details that go with, but mostly it was a great time spent with two great friends!

riding at sand lake
this last weekend we headed to the coast to spend time with our families and friends. we hauled our four wheelers down to do a little riding, it was awesome. the kids couldn't get over that you could ride right up to the water. josie took this literally and rode right into the sea {of course i didn't have my camera out and ready}! when i asked her why she drove into the ocean, she replied with "you told us we could ride in the water"... it was pretty scary, yet pretty funny too. we had an awesome time and would definitely go back. the weather was pretty rainy for most of the weekend, but the rain held off on friday which was our day to ride.
